African Turquoise Marquee Drop Earrings

Did you know that African turquoise is technically a form of chalcedony? African Jasper is composed of crystal quartz which gives it an opaque appearance. It also has other inclusions, such as copper and iron, that contribute to its beautiful mottled color palette.

These beautiful specimens are accented with a gold and grey hematite beads and sterling silver wire.  The wire has portions that are hammered giving them sparkle. The earring wires have a sculptural curve to them.
